Soap Making

Soap making is so not fun.
Messy.
Cannot make soap bar.
It smelt like soya bean.
And I'm so jealous that juniors
Can do experiments in their bridging programme.
Ours, thanks to the "sapo", nothing at all.
Chemistry used to be my favourite subject
but not now.

Fast Food

Calvin is going to grow fat.
I think.

Revised economics in McD
Ate McChicken McValue Meal
Refilled three times the coke
And brought it the coke to exam.

For dinner, excessive sausages he had
Fearing that once opened the packet will go spoil
like his milk, jackfruit, yoghurt drinks
eew... no 16 student house refrigerator is way too dirty.

Calvin is going to grow fat
People say college life contributes to overweight
A good thing for Calvin
Just that it's genetically proven
That he will just grow upwards and not sideways T.T

HP

I don't know why people like to say that I look like HP
Not Hewlett Packard, mind you!
Daniel Radcliffe.
Maybe it's a complement.
One thing I'm curious:
Who's taller?

I've begin to view Harry Potter differently.
There is a reason why I stopped reading that fascinating story.
I only read Prisoner of Azkaban and it's like that's it.
I struggle with it.
Just like J.K. Rowling struggles with it.
There's more to J.K. Rowling that the average person (especially Christians) think.

Movies After Movies

Water.
A Thousand Years of Good Prayers.
Rabbit-Proof Fence.
The Forgotten Woman.
There's so much movies to watch for EAL/D!

Water was a thought-provoking and beautiful story of widows.
I love Chuyia! So innocent and cute.
I admire Shakuntala! For faith and bravery.
Contrast to that, The Forgotten Woman was a forgotten show.
Guess the others sister director wasn't that touching in her documentary.

A Thousand Years of Good Prayers.
Hear the name also bored already right?
But interesting topics it digs up.
Communication, cold war, understanding and willing to express emotions.
Father and child relationship.

Rabbit-Proof Fence.
Amazing perseverance to walk 1500 miles back home.
Kid's adventure and the want to "see mummy" so badly.
One inspiring true story.

Shopping

Soap making tak terjadi...
Coz saponification don't have "傻婆 sa po" - the crazy woman
Every single symptom of h1n1 she has.

Then Ms Effa
depressed us with the recent Applicable Mathematics test
another time for me to fail Maths AGAIN?
Depressing....D:

So instead of sleeping
As Ms Effa always complains our class of
I went shopping to destress
Ms Say's suggestion
Shopping for grocery!
This time no more faraway Tesco
but Jusco.

Bought jackfruit, milk, sausages, eggs, bread
Kinder Bueno and that Japanese junk food with seaweed and rice biscuit
to de-depress.
Expensive destress method.

But eventually
the best was sleeping!
I slept from 8pm to 6am next day!

Birthday 2.0

Hi, I'm Calvin! And I am PREDESTINED to marry you!
(not a Christian pick up line confessing love to Michelle, Linus!)
WHAT A TESTIMONY ON GOD'S WILL!

"Then I said, ' Look, I have come.
As is written about me in the Scriptures:
I take joy in doing your will, my God,
for your instructions are written on my heart.'" - Psalm 40:7-8

The next exciting thing happened was the surprise party at Michelle's house.
Uncle Voon Siong and Aunty Mei Lin are such wonderful parents.
They somehow manage to "berkomplot" with Michelle's college friends
and Shah Alam Gospel Centre to plan a surprise party for Michelle.

First off, the college friends bring Michelle out for shopping
so that we can prepare ourselves for the party.
We had park our cars far away from the house and hide our shoes.
Linus had ronda with his bicycle
then the caterer had to brought away as he arrived too early.

Michelle was absolutely clueless about this
she even called home to ask his dad whether she can bring in her college mates back home!
But we waited really long for her to come back.
Hiding on ourselves in the living room as if
hiding from caught by an enemy.
My long body, I realise, is unsuitable for hiding!

Anyway, the moment came.
Michelle opened the door and
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHELLE! with drum rolls from Clement
She was absolutely speechless!

The night went well.
Good food and I smashed a glass against the wall
(accident after hearing Yin Ching's accident).
Uncle Dexter dedicated Psalm 23 to her
Jason with his creative brain made a wonderful birthday brochure for his sister.
Linus HUGGED her sister.
Andrew was wearing the shirt "Don't make me to come and hug you!".Lol
Everything was great and I reached home about 11.30 pm.
Tired and you know what
Monday only is Michelle's birthday!

Birthday 1.0

Happy Early Birthday to Michelle!
The first surprise birthday celebration for
Lee Hui Xin happened in CYD.
What a lame excuse that I say that
We are gonna sing a MEANINGFUL song
To end the day's discussion.
Was glad that many shared and show their appreciation to Michelle.
I think I was nearly moved to tears by their sharing.
(It should be Michelle crying, right? Apa pasal I cry)
Because we'll never know how much
we made a difference in other people's life
despite our weaknesses.

Then, Michelle turned into a tom-yam slave
serving everyone during Copa IBA reunion dinner.
Kesian!
And I turned into a daddy and Hui Min into Mummy at our table. Lol.
Had to serve our hungry, chirping kids meat and lots and lots of veges.
Thanks for to the Your "High"-ness Chai Yen and Hui Ying!
Tiring night it was, with all the washing and laughing
but memorable indeed.

Hasta La Pizza!

PIZZA!!!
I go crazy when pizzas come!!!
Today's CF Auntie Dolly made home-baked pizzas!!!
The soft crust
generous amounts of cheese
lots of meat (and vege, Sam)
AND THERE'S HAWAIIAN CHICKEN!!!
Can't you believe it?

Don't ask me why I'm so excited over pizzas today.
I also don't know.

Probably the manifestations of
strange physics question before CF.
Too easy until I don't know how to do,
Absolutely fighting against time.
But who cares?
THERE'S PIZZAS!!!

The best thing is that I get to tapau for dinner!
Oh glorious pizzas!

God has been good
although I blew it the week many times. (Calvin sinning, get it?)
Today's CF reminiscing the wonderful life before AUSMAT started.
Then at night, at VIBE at BU6 field (yeah, VIBE going outdoors)
it's time to focus on studies but never let studies dehydrate spiritual life...

Okay, prepare sermon Calvin!

Father

There's this Malay proverb which very much applies to me.
At first my dad.
Now Mr Derick!!!
Yang tinggi (panjang) jangan ingat bapak, yang pendek jangan ingat anak.

Mr Derick thinks I'm his dad.
Probably all the daddy-like comments I posted on his Facebook.
But today he got tulah for simply calling people "Dad".
Sick already. No class. YIPPIE!!!

Faster come back for class!
I don't want replacement class.
Ms Effa got replacement class sumore ler.

Oh, yeah tomorrow got Snow White's paper.
Gravitation - Newton making life hard for students.

Brands

Not chicken essence...
no worries, I dislike it too...

Today no rain!
Sim's sixth sense went wrong today.
However, the Sun was too clouded in morning
That I miss the so-called longest solar eclipse.

Enough of weather report.
Back to brands.

Learnt something cool about franchises.
McDonalds and Starbucks.
Of ingenuity and daringness.
However, Mr Wong seemed to be a Starbucks spy though
promoting Starbucks indirectly to us.
Only today I knew there were so many spies around.
KFC spies. Lol.
Got amateur and professional too.
Sticking thermometers into fried chicken? LOL!

Precipitation

I decided to watch my clothes today.
And it's not Mr Derick's class.
No tulah. No thunderstorm. No rain.
WRONG!!!

The moment I pour the washing powder into the washing machine.
The sky turned black within seconds.
Winds rage like Katrina is coming.
Heaven's gate open up
and the GREAT DELUGE!!!
It was raining cats and dogs.
Okay, it's doomsday... at least for my clothes...

Worst still it refused to stop, teeming all the way to 2 pm.
I thought it was cycle-able it that mizzle.
Man, I was wrong.
The raindrops are so annoyingly huge!

Nevertheless, enjoyed walking in the rain.
Even though late for Ms Say's class.

The sky opens up over me and you
And you don't seem to mind that we're soaked through
You kiss me in the rain, I forget what I'm moaning about
And I know I wouldn't be the same without you.

Ester Pollution and Maths Destruction

This is the end of the world...before 2012

Chemical labs in college are releasing extremely toxic esters.
Don't let chemistry teachers fool you.
Esters are totally not sweet smelling.
None of it smell like banana, pineapple, orange or whatever.
The only ester smellable was the Sarsi like one.

Then the prophecies of Maths (mass) destruction came true.
Prophecy 1: It's not going to be as easy as Ms Effa said.
Prophecy 2: Not enough time to finish.
Prophecy 3: Last question at first don't know how to do,
but when know how to do, no time to do.
Prophecy 4: Ms Effa will ask me to stop writing SPECIFICALLY...
Prophecy 5: Calvin will not care about his paper anymore...

I still hate esters.

Prayer: Facebook Style

Thanks to facebooking too much,
I designed a Facebook-styled prayer notice board.
And I still can't believe so many people participated in the quiz thingy

If only we would pray as much as we Facebook...

Double Portion of Blessing

Dinner today
double portion
of blessing
from juniors' catered food.

With the excuse of not wasting food
I took TWO packets of rice!!!

Now I know what is blessing overflowing
right there in my big swimming pool bowl.

Too bad next week got two "blessing"s
One from Ms Effa and the other Ms Say.
Exam. Ish.

Anyway, God bless the fan thong.

Michelangelo and HP

For once, I was able to see the beauty
in that David sculpture of Micheangelo.*
And the Adam cannot touch God's hand thingy
in Sistine Chapel.
Perseverance.

Then there's HP.
The most boring-est movie I've seen thus far.
I guess only the first movie really captured me.
Since, not many read this blog yet,
must well spoil it...
all those totally "childish" romantic scenes
so little action...
the emotional part just leave my heart cold...
practically no scenes really stick in me...
you see
i'm even lazy to spoil it more.
Good night!

*Yeah, the one totally naked
in which most modern eyes are drawn to look at that "beauty"
pervertly.

100+

I was caught in a dilemma today:
to skip college and rest
and prevent the spread of H1N1 in college
OR
to brave through the storms in cycling to come college to learn
organic chemistry and the Australian taxation system
and SPREAD H1N1 to all my friends!

I chose to go college...
(Semangat belajar konon)

Feeling kind of guilty.
Can't help my teammates to do EALD assignment.
Wasted RM2.89 of Sarah's pocket money which comes from
all Malaysian taxpayers money
just to buy 100+ if she ever get H1N1 from me.
Seeing Nicholas and Ginger
the two who sit beside me in class, COUGHING!!!

Aiyah, H1N1 is already spread anyway
Just eat more apples
and doctors will go away

Sickening

Too sick to think
to write
to whatever...

Monday, July 13, 2009

H1N1

Probably I know where did H1N1 originated.
My room!
And all the dust on, dust on, dust on MY FEET!
My nose is running all over the room
and my body feeling so hot!

Perhaps I would follow BJ's footstep:
I WOULD DIE FOR YOU...
may it be in death I glorify Him
(and yeah, can't wait to go heaven XD)

However, the outlook seems that
I'M GONNA BE STUCK HERE
for some time more.
So pray.
I HATE FLU!!!

Calvin the Travel Guide

Having studied Geography for SPM
and scoring high in GeoChallenge,
it's still amazes me how I brought my dad all the way to Shah Alam
to visit Un Kim Fong!

Ok, SPRINT then NKVE,
turn in to KLIA, Pulau Indah junction to go ELITE
then join KESAS to go Kota Kemuning.
Geng hor me?
Self praise is universal disgrace...

Anyway, Caleb caught everyone's attention in SAGC
(even DGC youths) with his magic tricks.
And that's his first time there!
Proud of you bro!

Clash of Titans

Yong Sir and Miss Say:
Clash of Physics Titans during Parents Teachers Meeting
Quite disappointing though
No shouting, or uishe's
Only formal exchange of words.
Haiz...

Worst still, the only thing Mr Derick is worried is
MY HANDWRITING!!!
Perhaps the only solution is chop off the right hand...

Then, went shopping to IKEA
following the general rule that ALL parents like to visit
that Swedish company.
Later got lost somewhere on LDP and Sprint Highway
and Mr Yong complained of the wonderful road system in PJ and KL

The best thing probably was staying at Eastin hotel with AIR CONDITIONING.
BU students houses are ovens.
Sad right college life?

Arms Open Wide

Free dinner from Jun Kai
and so happen that all the food in the packet are
all favourite of mine!

David and Michelle picked me up
when I was struggling in the rain on with my bicycle
with my BIG Aussie backpack and my guitar!

And all the fun I had chatting
with Sue, Hafeez, Najihah, Poh Hui, Ginger
while waiting for my turn in the uni application checking.
Hafeez is really lame!!! I can't believe I'm that lame as well.

Oh here I stand
Arms open wide
Oh I am Yours
And You are mine!

HUGGING GOD NOW!!!

And tomorrow the Yongs are coming to visit me!
Can't wait to see watch the clash of Titans: Ms Say and Yong Sir. Uishe!

Kangaroo-Land

Joeys of slaughtered mummy kangaroos decapitated
or swung against the towbar of a vehicle.
bang, bang, bang!

Videos after videos of animal cruelty.
What a great introduction to wildlife in Australia!
(Actually, I even wanted to taste some kangaroo meat when I go Australia, oops!)

HEY, STOP KILLING THEM!
I want to hug a koala,
stand tall with a kangaroo (boxing as well?)
growl with a Tasmanian devil!

Finding The Groove

Another unexpected book picked up at Eldership Seminar.
Finding The Groove.
Robert Gelinas.

Syncopation.
Improvisation.
Call-and-Response.
A Jazz-Shaped Faith.

I finished it in two days three nights.
Even after Monday blues!

Monday Blues

Chemistry Blues:
Who else contributes to this factor?
Ginger got shot today by her emo shout.
My deepest condolences Ginger T.T

Applicable Mathematics Blues:
Probability.
Why bother counting?
And if I lay before you a red, black and blue marker pen
And say you can only use the blue marker once,
Must you use the blue marker?
For once I sound like a genius,
After failing my maths for first time in college.

Physics Blues:
Yor, have to do Cutnell questions!

I'll Die For You

Finished: "I'll Die For You".
It's a book =p
Modern Jim Elliot: BJ Higgins.
It's all about the heart of obedience.

Jim Elliot:
He is no fool who gives

to gain what he cannot lose.

Pastor Calvin is a nice name =)

First Day At College

It's been a year.
Start new blog.
